About the Event
One of the oldest bonsai clubs in the country, ABAS is proud to present it's 65th Annual Bonsai Show and Sale featuring a display of beautifully developed bonsai and suiseki viewing stones. Located in Sacramento's largest urban park and a vibrant walking area, the show is alive with art and energy. CARMEN LESKOVIANSKY, Bonsai Professional and Educator, will present daily demonstrations at 1:30PM. Carmen is the curator at the University of Michigan’s Dr. Melvyn C. Goldstein Bonsai Collection. Outside of her work at the collection, Carmen co-founded The Purple Pot Society, a national bonsai club with the mission of educating and inspiring more women to do bonsai. She also co-hosts the podcast Little Things for Bonsai People. Carmen apprenticed with Michael Hagedorn of Crataegus Bonsai from 2021-2024.
